Overview

Dollaroodle includes Master Oodle, an AI-powered financial assistant that helps households understand and manage their budgets through natural conversation. This page explains how the AI features work, what data is involved, and how we protect your information.

What Master Oodle can do

Master Oodle is an agentic assistant with access to a set of specialized tools. Depending on your account type, it can:

• Retrieve your household financial overview, including incomes, expenses, and goals.
• Show reconciliation history and achievement progress.
• Run forward-looking projections for cash flow, goal completion, and affordability.
• Create, update, and delete incomes, expenses, goals, and reconciliations on your behalf, with explicit confirmation before any write action.
• Answer general budgeting questions using its own knowledge, without accessing your data.

What data is sent to AI providers

When you send a message to Master Oodle, the following data may be transmitted to our AI provider:

• Your message text.
• Recent conversation history (up to 20 messages) for context continuity.
• Household financial data retrieved by tools during the conversation (incomes, expenses, goals, reconciliation summaries, and member information).
• System instructions that include your account type, rate limit status, and household context — but not your name, email, or authentication credentials.

We send only the data necessary to generate a relevant response. Raw database identifiers, internal field names, and authentication tokens are never included in prompts.

AI provider and subprocessor

Dollaroodle uses OpenAI as its AI provider. OpenAI processes conversation data under their API data usage policies, which provide that API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models.

OpenAI is listed as a subprocessor in our Privacy Policy. We may change or add AI providers in the future and will update this page and our Privacy Policy accordingly.

Data retention and deletion

• Authenticated users: Conversations are stored to provide continuity across sessions. You can delete individual conversations at any time from the chat interface.
• Guest users: Guest conversations are ephemeral and stored only in the browser session. They are not persisted on our servers.
• Account deletion: When you delete your Dollaroodle account, all stored conversations and associated messages are permanently removed as part of our standard data deletion process.

OpenAI may retain API request data for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, after which it is deleted. Refer to OpenAI’s data usage policies for current retention terms.

No training on your data

Your conversations with Master Oodle are not used to train AI models — neither by Dollaroodle nor by our AI provider. OpenAI’s API terms explicitly exclude API data from model training.

Data scope and isolation

Master Oodle can only access financial data belonging to your current household. There is no cross-household data access. Tool permissions are enforced at the application level before any data is retrieved or modified.

Rate limits and access tiers

To ensure fair usage and service quality, Master Oodle applies rate limits based on your account type:

• Guest: 10 messages per hour, 25 per month. General Q&A only, no household data access.
• Free account: 10 messages per hour, 20 per month. Access to household overview tools.
• Subscriber: 25 messages per hour, 250 per month. Full access to all tools including projections and budget management.

Accuracy and limitations

Master Oodle is an AI assistant, not a licensed financial advisor. Its responses are generated based on your household data and general financial knowledge, but they should not be treated as professional financial, tax, or legal advice.

AI-generated responses may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies. Always verify important financial decisions independently or consult a qualified professional.

User responsibilities

When using Master Oodle, you agree to:

• Provide accurate financial information for meaningful responses.
• Review and confirm any budget changes before they are saved.
• Not attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or circumvent the assistant’s guidelines.
• Not use the assistant to generate harmful, fraudulent, or illegal content.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as our AI features evolve or as we add or change providers. Material changes will be reflected in the version date and noted in our Privacy Policy.
