These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to Dollaroodle, owned and operated by Modoterra Corporation. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and the linked policies.
Key policies
Eligibility
You must be 18+ and able to enter into a binding agreement. You are responsible for maintaining accurate information and safeguarding your credentials. You may not create an account, accept an invite, or join a household if you are under 18.
Households
A household is a shared workspace with one Monthly Plan. The person who creates the household is its owner. The owner may invite members. Only the owner and invited members may access that household's plan.
By inviting someone, you represent that they are 18 or older, that they agreed to join, and that you have the right to share that household's plan with them. By accepting an invite, you confirm you are 18 or older and agree that other members of that household can see and edit the same plan.
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, including information about other people in the household. Do not add someone as a member unless they should have access to the plan.
The owner manages invites, membership, and removal. A removed member loses access to that household. Removal does not delete the plan. A member may leave.
If the owner's account is deleted and ownership has not been transferred, the household and its plan are deleted under our ordinary deletion process. We may add an in-product ownership transfer. Until that exists, deleting the owner deletes the household.
One Dollaroodle subscription may cover the households on that account, up to the limits of the current plan. Members do not need their own paid subscription to join a household the owner has already paid for.
Account security and data handling
We implement technical and organizational safeguards to protect account data, including encryption in transit and additional protections for sensitive financial fields. You are responsible for maintaining password confidentiality and enabling available security features like 2FA when appropriate.
See our Security page for implementation details and responsible disclosure guidance.
Subscriptions and billing
Dollaroodle offers a free plan and paid subscriptions. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel.
You can cancel in your billing settings at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep access through the end of the period you already paid. We do not prorate or credit unused time, except where a law requires otherwise.
If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will give you notice before the new price applies. The new price applies on the next renewal after that notice, unless you cancel first. A promotional or early-adopter rate lasts as long as we said it would when you bought it.
If a payment fails, we may retry and may suspend paid features until payment succeeds. We do not store full card numbers.
Paid-plan limits (including how many household workspaces you may have) are described in the product and may change with notice.
Where a consumer-protection law gives you a required refund, cooling-off, or cancellation right, that law controls.
Communications
By creating an account, you agree to receive transactional emails related to your account and use of the service, such as account confirmations, security alerts, billing receipts, and household invitations. Transactional emails are required for the operation of your account and cannot be fully disabled while your account is active.
You may also opt in to receive product update emails, including new features, tips, and product news. You can subscribe or unsubscribe from product updates at any time from your notification settings.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Dollaroodle, attempt to access other users' data, or interfere with service operations.
AI-assisted features
Dollaroodle reserves Master Oodle and related AI tooling for in-context guidance on the Monthly Plan. Freeform chat and a live assistant are not part of the current product. We do not store conversations.
If we enable an AI-assisted workflow, you acknowledge:
- These features provide general guidance and are not a substitute for professional financial, tax, or legal advice.
- AI responses may be inaccurate or incomplete. Verify important decisions independently.
- Write actions that would change your plan require your confirmation in the product before they are saved.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of information in your plan and in any request you submit.
Further detail is in our AI Disclosure.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. You may cancel at any time via billing settings.
Disclaimers
Dollaroodle provides budgeting tools and does not offer financial, tax, or legal advice. The service is provided "as is" without warranties.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Modoterra Corporation is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Arbitration and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware. Any disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration through the American Arbitration Association in Newark, Delaware, with a 30-day opt-out window after acceptance.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Your continued use of Dollaroodle after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
